On November 1, 2024, theacceptance review meeting for the "Energy (Coal Electricity) Market Supply and Demand Forecast and Early Warning Service Platform Construction Based on Climate Big Data" project, undertaken by Wuxi Ninecosmos Science and Technology Co. Ltd., was successfully held at the company's headquarters. Experts from the National Energy Group Institute of Technology and Economics, as well as the management team from Ninecosmos, attended the meeting. The purpose of this meeting was to comprehensively evaluate the construction of the platform and explore in depth how to further improve the accuracy and efficiency of energy market forecasting and early warning. 

Research and Discussion

At 10 a.m., accompanied by the management of Ninecosmos Technology, experts visited the "Sunway TaihuLight" supercomputer and listened to the report on the application in the fields of meteorology, energy and etc. Subsequently, Dr. Zhou Zheng, General Manager of Ninecosmos Technology, Wang Xiong, Vice President of the Meteorological and Ocean Business Department, engaged in discussions with the experts, introducing the development status and technological innovation achievements of Ninecosmos Technology in the commercial meteorological services, especially its application in the fields of energy and shipping. 

Platform Acceptance Review

The platform acceptance review meeting officially began at 1:30 pm. Director Jiang Dalin, Senior Researcher of the Energy Market Analysis Research Department of the National Energy Group Institute of Technology and Economics, first gave a brief introduction on the  experts and leaders, and outlined the background and objectives of the platform. Subsequently, Wang Xiong, Vice President of the Meteorological and Ocean Business Department, reported on the platform construction status. Product Manager Liu Yuchao demonstrated the platform's functions to the expert group, including the operation process of core modules such as multi-source heterogeneous data collection, analysis, forecasting and early warning. 

Expert Inquiry and Summary

In the subsequent inquiry and discussion session, experts offered valuable opinions on the technical details, application scenarios, and future development of the platform. The review expert group showed strong interest in the application of the platform in climate big data and artificial intelligence, and put forward multiple suggestions to further optimize the platform's algorithms and functions.

After a series of in-depth discussions, the expert group highly praised the construction achievements and acknowledged that the project achieved a deep integration of climate big data and energy supply and demand data, and built a comprehensive platform integrating display, analysis, forecasting, and early warning, thus providing technical support for research work in related fields. The expert group unanimously agreed to approve the project's acceptance and recommended that the platform be quickly expanded for demonstration applications. 

Summary and Prospect

Zhang Jimiao, Deputy General Manager of the National Energy Group Institute of Technology and Economics, pointed out in his concluding remarks that this review meeting not only provided direction for the further development of the energy market supply and demand forecasting and early warning platform, but also demonstrated the technical advantages of Ninecosmos Technology in the field of commercial meteorological services. He recognized the significant achievements of Ninecosmos Technology in the precise application of meteorological data, big data and artificial intelligence, emphasizing that these innovations play a crucial role in supporting the transformation of the national energy structure and improving industry efficiency.
